The program is well-suited for studio work (mode «Arrangement»), and works in real time, ie, DJ-ING (Mode «Session»). In the «Arrangement» is a composition by creating a midi and audio clips with the gradual progress on the timeline forward (like Cubase, Logic Studio, Sonar). Mode «Session» can not simply reduce the two tracks and create an entire song from scratch in real time.

Live8.2.5 introduces compatibility with Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. Known issue: Asof 10.7, Java is no longer installed by default on Mac OS X. Inaddition, there is a bug that can cause applications that require Javato crash. This affects Max for Live; when a user tries to open a M4Ldevice that requires Java, first Max, and then Live, will crash.
